Our Mission: At Legacy Leadership Academy, we cultivate and train the next generation of leaders - visionaries, truth-tellers, and changemakers - equipping them with the tools to rise, lead, and serve with purpose. We empower individuals to use their voices through powerful, impactful communication that changes the world for the better and to master the new tools of the AI era.

From learning how to get your ideas to market and amplify your voice in our national conversation, to mastering the art of social media and harnessing its true power, to crafting stories that inspire and protect democracy, to helping organizations and institutions better serve their own people and clients, to avoiding the many pitfalls found in the dawn of the new AI era, to supporting young leaders in school - we teach you how to speak your truth with clarity, courage, and conviction and how to give your talents to the world generously and with unwavering integrity. 

Our programs develop inclusive, purpose-driven leadership - for the workplace, schools, the public square, and the global stage. We don’t just prepare people for careers - we prepare them for calling.

We begin training as early as 4th grade and continue through every stage of life - including for those in retirement who are ready to reimagine their future and re-envision their place in the world.

Because leadership isn’t defined by age or title - it’s about showing up fully, wherever you are, and becoming a force for good. At Legacy Leadership Academy, we believe everyone can be a leader - in their home, their school, their workplace, or their community.

That’s why we offer practical strategies for entrepreneurship, education, and personal transformation. With resources, self-paced learning, and real-world application, we help individuals unlock their full potential - so their best self can shine and become a beacon of hope for others.

And for those called to public service, we provide specialized training in earned media and lobbying - arming political candidates and civic leaders with the skills to run bold, effective campaigns that fight for the common good and create lasting change.

Dusty Franklin and Jen Appel are also available for private consultations,  workshops and events. 

Dusty Franklin, our Technical Director built the foundations of Edge AI over generations of machine learning architectures, as he was Principal Engineer of embedded systems at NVIDIA. Growing a worldwide ecosystem of useful robots and low-power assistive devices, many have followed his strategic vision for efficiently distributing the benefits of accelerated computing to independent users and trusted his watchful expertise in AI Safety.

Ms. Appel is a Public Speaking Coach, Speech Writer and Brand and Communication Specialist. She can craft your messaging and make sure you stay on it - in every way. 

She can make sure you SHINE. 

Having coached students of all ages for over 30 years, Jen has an uncanny ability to find the areas people most need to grow, and nurtures and supports them every step of the way.
